Concept
8 Essential Conversations
The goal of this event was to use concepts taken from the book Eight Dates by John and Julie Gottman to encourage married couples through various teachings, breakouts and experiences. We were asked to create an experience for this event that was challenging like an escape room, socially interactive like the game of mafia and incorporated the eight themes taken from the book.

A Challenging Experience for 200 People
First, we worked with the Events Coordinator to design the game. Then we constructed the game making any necessary adjustments needed. And finally, we trained volunteers as back up moderators in case, for any reason, we were unable to moderate the game ourselves.
Result
2 out of 66
Our end result was a 30 minute, three round game that pushed 33 couples to cooperate and communicate with each other to identify a mystery couple randomly chosen at the beginning of the game. The game was able to be reset and repeated three times within a two hour period.
