Mosaic Church is a non-denominational church in Austin, Texas that exists in a multiethnic and multigenerational context. It has been in operation for 25 years and has a core focus of community.
Concept
Back to School Sunday
In order to commit to reaching and shaping the next generation, Mosaic Church designates one Sunday each year to highlight their student and college ministries. They designate a theme for the day to influence any designs, projects or communication that may arise. In light of the uncertain circumstances that schools faced in the fall of 2020, their theme was aimed at a positive reflection on past circumstances in order to encourage their audience to courageously face uncertain futures.

If This Then That
Driven by the phrase, "What God has done before, He can do again," we were asked to create a design that invited people to look at the story of David as a case study for how God continuously delivers people from impossible circumstances. We were also commissioned to create a concept video, within the boundaries of the theme provided, that would serve as an introduction to the student ministry driven portion of the Sunday service.
Result
If God, Then Yes
We tied the given concept to the technological understanding of IFTTT programming and the mathmatical defintion of a conditional statement. By doing this, we were able to create a graphic and simplify our communication ideas down to a series of GIFs for the organization to use in emails and on social media. This also inspired us to create an orginal song that birthed into a sort of music video as our concept piece.
